# The error `error.unrecognised`

**unrecognised**: an error from below (the script's own code, JAX, MADDENING or another library) that MIME has no translation for: it is shown at the script's own line, and is never called MIME's defect.

Where MIME gives it, with what its message says happened and what its action says to do (`{…}` is filled in from the experiment):

- in `mime/errors/_translate.py`:
  - what happened: (built where it is given, so not read here)
  - what to do: `read it at the line of yours it names; to see every frame below it, run again with MIME_TRACEBACK=full`
