# The error `live.input-value`

**user**: the script can change it: the error says what happened in the experiment's names, and what to write instead.

Where MIME gives it, with what its message says happened and what its action says to do (`{…}` is filled in from the experiment):

- in `mime/live/_session.py`:
  - what happened: `{…} takes finite numbers of shape {…} ({…}), not {…}`
  - what to do: `give it one: session.set({…}, <a value of shape {…}>)`
- in `mime/live/_session.py`:
  - what happened: `set takes values, a mapping of live inputs`
  - what to do: `send '{"command": "set", "values": {"<label>": <value>}}'`
