The error asset.hash-mismatch#

environment: something the run needs is missing or different where it runs (a package, a file, a device, the network): the error names what to install, fetch or attach.

Where MIME gives it, with what its message says happened and what its action says to do ({…} is filled in from the experiment):

  • in mime/assets/_fetch.py:

    • what happened: no location served the bytes with sha256 {…} for {…}: {…}

    • what to do: check the reference's sha256 and the locations ('mime assets list'); nothing was stored

  • in mime/assets/_fetch.py:

    • what happened: {…} from {…} has other bytes than the repository's checksum names

    • what to do: try again with 'mime assets fetch <name>'; if it repeats, the record's file is not the one it lists

Reading an error and reaching its full traceback: reading an error. Every code: the index.
