The error asset.size-exceeded#

environment: something the run needs is missing or different where it runs (a package, a file, a device, the network): the error names what to install, fetch or attach.

Where MIME gives it, with what its message says happened and what its action says to do ({…} is filled in from the experiment):

  • in mime/assets/_fetch.py:

    • what happened: {…} is declared as {…}, and no location served that size: {…}

    • what to do: check the reference's size and the locations ('mime assets list'); nothing was stored

  • in mime/assets/_fetch.py:

    • what happened: {…} from {…} is larger than the {…} it may be, and the download was stopped there

    • what to do: check the address, and if the file is that large on purpose raise the limit: 'mime pull --max-bundle-bytes <bytes>'; nothing was stored

  • in mime/saved/_pull.py:

    • what happened: the record states a bundle of {…}, over the {…} MIME takes without being told to

    • what to do: if the bundle is that large on purpose, raise the limit: 'mime pull --max-bundle-bytes <bytes>'

Reading an error and reaching its full traceback: reading an error. Every code: the index.
