The error magnet.direction#

user: the script can change it: the error says what happened in the experiment’s names, and what to write instead.

Where MIME gives it, with what its message says happened and what its action says to do ({…} is filled in from the experiment):

  • in mime/build/_plan.py:

    • what happened: {…}: direction={…} is not three numbers, not all zero

    • what to do: pass direction= as three numbers in the part's frame: PermanentMagnet(direction=(0.0, 1.0, 0.0))

  • in mime/scene/_compose.py:

    • what happened: part prim {…}: {…} = {…} is not a unit vector

    • what to do: write the direction as a unit vector in the part's frame, such as '(0, 1, 0)'

Reading an error and reaching its full traceback: reading an error. Every code: the index.
