The error push.confirm-stale#

user: the script can change it: the error says what happened in the experiment’s names, and what to write instead.

Where MIME gives it, with what its message says happened and what its action says to do ({…} is filled in from the experiment):

  • in mime/push/_publish.py:

    • what happened: {…}: a script publishes only what it was shown; nothing was sent

    • what to do: read the draft as it is now, 'mime push <folder> --to {…} --status', which prints the fingerprint beside its DOI as every push does, then pass both, '--confirm {…}@<fingerprint>'

  • in mime/push/_publish.py:

    • what happened: --confirm names {…} with the fingerprint {…}, and the draft {…} on {…}, read again immediately before the publish, no longer holds what that confirmation was printed for: a push changed it while this publish read it; nothing was published or --confirm names {…} alone, and the draft {…} on {…}, read again immediately before the publish, no longer holds what that confirmation was printed for: a push changed it while this publish read it; nothing was published

    • what to do: read the draft as it is now, 'mime push <folder> --to {…} --status', which prints the fingerprint beside its DOI as every push does, then pass both, '--confirm {…}@<fingerprint>'

Reading an error and reaching its full traceback: reading an error. Every code: the index.
