The error run.nothing-to-step#

user: the script can change it: the error says what happened in the experiment’s names, and what to write instead.

Where MIME gives it, with what its message says happened and what its action says to do ({…} is filled in from the experiment):

  • in mime/build/_construct.py:

    • what happened: the experiment builds no node: nothing it declares has dynamics, a field or a law that steps, so a run would have no step to take

    • what to do: declare what moves or acts: a body with its dynamics, exp.add_body(Body(..., dynamics=...)), a medium's flow, an apparatus's field, or a law bound to them

Reading an error and reaching its full traceback: reading an error. Every code: the index.
