The error setting.direction#

user: the script can change it: the error says what happened in the experiment’s names, and what to write instead.

Where MIME gives it, with what its message says happened and what its action says to do ({…} is filled in from the experiment):

  • in mime/build/_plan.py:

    • what happened: {…} ({…}): setting {…} refers to {…}; a geometry's own directions are written as three numbers in the world frame (geometries are not placed relative to one another yet)

    • what to do: write {…}= as three numbers, such as {…}=(1.0, 0.0, 0.0)

  • in mime/build/_plan.py:

    • what happened: {…} is {…}, not a direction: a thing's direction such as tube.axis, or three numbers not all zero

    • what to do: write direction= as a thing's direction, such as tube.axis, or as three numbers, (1.0, 0.0, 0.0)

Reading an error and reaching its full traceback: reading an error. Every code: the index.
